Sarah Sohn

Sarah is an immigration and refugee lawyer based in Vancouver, BC. Her current practice interests include judicial review matters before the Federal Court and litigation before the Immigration and Refugee Board tribunals.
Before starting Haven Law, Sarah worked as Legal Counsel at the Vancouver office of the Department of Justice, where she regularly represented Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in judicial review matters before the Federal Court. Most of her career, however, has been in private practice of immigration and refugee law in Victoria, BC. She has obtained successful outcomes for her clients in refugee claims, and in a wide range of immigration and citizenship applications.
Sarah holds a law degree from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2019.
Sarah previously practised as Sarah Reid before reverting to using her family name at birth.
