Charlotte Sullivan

Charlotte Sullivan is a Prince Edward Island-based immigration and refugee lawyer. She has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island, the Federal Court, and all four divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.
Charlotte advises on immigration matters across the economic and family classes and has significant experience in immigration litigation. She regularly handles complex asylum claims in both English and French, as well as matters involving inadmissibility or potential inadmissibility to Canada. Her particular areas of expertise include asylum claims, Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) permanent residency applications, Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) applications, and Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA) applications. She also has expertise seeking judicial review of administrative action, including applications for a writ of mandamus.
Charlotte earned her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University, where she served as President of the McGill Law Students’ Association, worked as a senior caseworker at the McGill Legal Information Clinic, and represented McGill at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Before entering private practice, she spent four years with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as a policy analyst in the International and Intergovernmental Relations Branch.
Charlotte is actively involved in her community and is the current President of the Green Party of Prince Edward Island, serves as a board member of both Under the Spire and Fusion Charlottetown, sits as a member of the Prince Edward Island Student Financial Assistance Appeal Board, and is the Section Chair of the CBA PEI French Speaking Lawyers Section. Outside work, Charlotte enjoys writing, cooking, hiking, reading fiction, and backpacking, having travelled solo to over fifty countries.
