Omolola Fasina
Lola Law Professional Corporation
Omolola Fasina, fondly called “Lola” is an immigrant who initially came to Canada to study. Having gone through the Canadian immigration system, she is aware of how cumbersome this process can be without proper guidance. This experience challenged her to be a resourceful and indispensable help to future immigrants who would need help in settling into the Canadian system. Lola’s commitment to helping future immigrants integrate easily into Canadian society drew her into Immigration and Refugee law.
Lola is a dual-qualified lawyer. She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from Afe Babalola University in 2014. She then proceeded to the Nigerian Law School to earn her B.L. and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. She further obtained her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 2017 from the University of Western Ontario Canada.
Lola was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2021. Since her call to the bar, her practice has included a wide range of refugee and immigration law, with a focus on refugee claims, appeals at the Refugee Appeal Division, and judicial reviews at the Federal Court. She has appeared before the Immigration Refugee Board, Immigration Appeal Division, and the Federal Court of Canada.
Lola is a highly motivated individual who is empathetic to the needs of her clients while using all necessary means within her capacity to meet their expectations. She also has a reputation for handling difficult cases with a successful outcome.
