Rachael has been practicing exclusively in immigration and refugee law independently since founding RJA Law in 2013. Rachael obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2012. Since then, she has helped hundreds of individuals, from all backgrounds, secure their status in Canada while navigating complex issues such as criminality, misrepresentation, and medical inadmissibility. Rachael regularly appears before the Federal Court on stay motions to stop imminent deportations. Rachael has also appeared before the Court of Justice, Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal, in Alberta. ​Rachael volunteers her time to provide pro bono legal services on a regular basis and was previously vice-chair of the Canadian Bar Association immigration section for northern Alberta. ​Rachael has a working knowledge of Mandarin.
